What is best for fading acne scars?

Aside from a chemical peel or anything that uses lasers....I%26#039;m asking about something that comes in a bottle or a jar. What would help fade acne scars (marks, not indented scars) on oily skin.

Currently I am using Clean %26amp; Clear 3 step (skipping the moisturizer but using toner instead) to try %26amp; get current acne under control. Does it matter what products/cleansers are used when attempting to fade acne scars?|||After I took Accutane and had reddish marks left over, I just used Polysporin. It is quite cheap, and you put it on three times a day. It reduces the look of scars, but made my marks completely go away. You just need to be a bit patient with it.|||First off it is important to know that there are about three different types of acne scars:

1. Ice Pick:%26quot;Ice pick scars are named such because they are similar in shape to what you would see if you attacked a piece of wood with an ice pick: shallow or deep pitting with steep sides and jagged edges. Severe cases of ice pick scarring are often referred to as 鈥榙epressed fibrotic scarring鈥? They are most commonly found on the cheeks.%26quot;

2.Boxcar scars:%26quot;Boxcar scars are very similar in appearance to the scarring caused by chicken pox. They are oval shaped depressions with sharp edges and can very in depth from superficial to deep. These are most commonly found on the cheeks and temples.%26quot;

3.%26quot;Hypertrophic scars are small, red 鈥榖umps鈥?that appear in the damaged area, these can result from any kind of wound 鈥?not just acne, and they normally fade over time%26quot;

Remember once you%26#039;ve found out your type of scar it is easier to get rid of them. Here are some ways:

%26quot; * Creams containing cocoa butter and vitamin E help keep your skin soft, elastic and healthy. Regular use of such creams may help scars diminish naturally over time. We would recommend combining this with an overall healthy lifestyle.

* Apply a 3x solution of medical-grade hydrofluoric acid (or a product which contains it) to the scarred area twice daily for one to two weeks. Do this ONLY under the supervision of your dermatologist because this CAN damage your skin.%26quot;

Note: This was pulled directly from a dermatologist website. I take no credit for making this only the supplying of the combined information.

|||I would suggest you look into ZenMed. There%26#039;s a website that%26#039;s found the best acne scar treatments and searched all over the internet for actual customer feedback - and it%26#039;s all on the site. I suggest you check it out:
