What's the best way to treat acne scars?

I used to break out more often, but after finding a good skincare routine my face is mostly clear. However, my skin is still uneven-looking and has scars! I have very fair skin, so it%26#039;s obvious.

What scar treatments would you recommend? Please help!|||To fade an acne scar will be easy. All you%26#039;ve got to do is exfoliate regularly.

Exfoliation is simply the removal of the top layer of skin (called the epidermis).

This layer can be removed by using Glycolic Acids and or Salicylic Acids (chemical peels). Or mechanically (microdermabrasion)

By regularly removing the epidermis...you%26#039;ll also be removing the skin that is scarred by your acne.

To remove the scar quickly...

...I recommend visiting a doctor and inquiring about a deep facial peel.

A deep peel removes the epidermis at a greater depth. And as a result the scar will disappear in no time.

But... I must warn you that deep peels are expensive.

You can also remove the scars with at-home facial peels. These products usually contain alpha-hydroxy acids and/or beta hydroxy acids.

Or you can buy a facial scrub. This is a cream which contains tiny particles to scrub away the epidermis.

These at home versions are effective and less costly.

But...

...they work slower than the doctor%26#039;s versions. And you must use them at least 3 times a week if they are to be effective.|||Here is a list of available treatments for acne scars.

1. Microdermabrasion: Microdermabrasion refers to techniques that use instruments to literally peel the top layer of skin off, usually the dead layer of protective cells on the very surface of the skin It can be though of as taking sand paper to the skin and giving it a good scratching. This technique is usually recommended for mild scarring and/or skin discoloration.

2. Chemical peels: Chemical peels produce much the same results as microdermabrasion, except in this treatment uses a broad range of chemical treatments applied to the skin. The solution is applied to the skin and left on for a certain period of time. The chemicals dissolve skin cells, promoting the growth of new tissue and replacing the scar tissue.

3. Dermal Fillers: Dermal Fillers utilize the injection of collagen or fat underneath the scar. Dermal fillers raise the area of depressed scars up to the level of normal skin and diminish the appearance of acne scars.

4. Punch Excision. Punch excision is a form of surgery that utilizes a punch biopsy tool to physically remove the scar tissue. The procedure is used for very severe scarring that is too deep for other traditional methods. The tool is used to remove the scar and its surrounding edges, and the edges of the skin stitched back together.

5. Laser Treatment. Laser treatment is now the treatment of choice for how to get rid of acne scars. Advancements have made vast improvements in laser therapy. There is a wide range of laser therapy that is said to work quickly, remove redness, and improve the appearance of scars tremendously.|||Be sure to check with your doctor prior to starting any type of procedure on your own. He or she can help guide you and can provide you with information relative to the one that will help you the best.

1. Take the juice from one lemon and mix it with an equal amount of rosewater. Apply this to your face daily, leaving it on for at least half an hour. Wash your face with fresh water and continue to do this routine for about 15 days. This has been shown to help cure acne as well as reduce blemishes and scaring.

2. To help reduce scarring and heal acne lesions faster you can apply aloe vera juice twice a day directly to the troubled areas.

3. Vitamin E oil comes in either capsules or in a bottle of oil by itself. Vitamin E oil has been proven time and time again to help reduce scarring when applied daily.

4. Another home remedy that that has shown proven results over a period of time would be to use potato slices. Directly rub potato slices over the face. Let dry on the face for 30 minutes and then wash off.

5. Some people have gone for laser resurfacing to help remove acne scarring. This removes the upper layer of the skin which is damaged, furthermore it also helps to tighten the central layer which will improve your complexion by resulting in smooth skin.|||There are many ways to treat acne scars, most should go of their own accord but if they don%26#039;t there are surgical procedures you can do, some are quite simple and painless some are more invasive.

It seems like laser resurfacing is currently the best method!|||Depending on the severity of your scars, there are many different treatments available. It may be solved with something as simple as an at-home microdermabrasion treatment, readily available at drugstores. There are more intensive treatments available which are performed at a dermatologist%26#039;s or plastic surgeon%26#039;s office.
