How to get rid of scars?

My friend who is of caramel complexion, has scars from mostly mosquito bites, which she feels insecure about. What%26#039;s a quick and efficient way to get rid of these scars? Does anybody know?|||Unfortunately, bite scars like from mosquitos on folks with caramel or darker complexions are tough to remove. If you mean that they look lighter in color than the surrounding skin, which means the underlying skin where the melenoma which gives skin color is has been damaged. She can try a product called Mederma, which is sold in most pharmacies without a prescription. Places like Walmart and Walgreens also carry it. It works the best of anything else on scars and old bite marks. It may or may not help with hers. On the other hand, if the problem is with hyperpigmentation, meaning she has formed darker spots where the bites healed, a dermatologist can help out possibly with several different types of treatments. Folks with darker complexions have more problems with scars involving the pigmentation of the skin because they have more melanoma to deal with.

If she doesn%26#039;t want to go the medicine route, there are a lot of good products out there to cover spots. A skin care consultant should be able to direct your friend towards good products for her to try. Sorry, I don%26#039;t know of any particular brands there to suggest. But I have worked with people who needed or wanted to cover birthmarks and scars who used them and were happy with the results, so I know there are some. If you happen to know anyone in the theater, theatrical makeup also works well. I hope your friend is able to find something that works for her and helps her feel more comfortable. Good luck, you%26#039;re a good friend to be concerned.|||There is a cream that can be used called Hirudoid. I currently live in Asia, and you can just buy it without a prescription here, but in the US/Canada/UK you might need a prescription.

It is clinically proven to help reduce scars.|||You could try some over the counter medication like Scar Zone. I think Neosporin also makes a creme that you rub over scars. Eventually, the scars are supposed to diminish if used correctly.
