Why does my baby always have his mouth open? Is this normal? He is 9 months old and has scars on his tongue?

like if he had cut it. 4 lines along his tongue..I asked the doctor but he says it%26#039;s normal and that%26#039;s it. Why does my baby have this? He always has mouth open with his tongue kind of hanging.|||Maybe you have an alien baby...just kidding if the dr. says it%26#039;s normal then you probably shouldn%26#039;t worry :)|||Babies go through a phase of doing that. Some do it for a few days or weeks and then stop and some do it all the time as you said. Maybe he likes the sensation.





If the doctor said its all right then I wouldn%26#039;t worry unless you think he may have injured his tongue in some way which may have caused him to keep it open more. Don%26#039;t worry about it unless you feel something is seriously not right.
