Do you know of anything i can do about scars?

I have always had pretty skin. I was a user of meth , clean now for 2 years, anyway i have alot of white scars on my arms (lower and upper) and across my upper back from shoulder to shoulder. Do you know of any method that would remove these?|||Congrats on getting clean! I had a similar problem with several pre-cancerous moles that I had removed (visible red and puffy scars up to two inches in length). I found that vitamin E works well, but only if it is within a year or so of receaving the scars, so that would most likely not work for you. If the scar kelioided (Became raised or bumpy or is discolored) cortezone injections work wonders. Also, laser treatments work well (it just feels very warm) as does a type of laser treatment called I.P.L.. IPL feels similar to a ruberband snapping on the scar multiple times, but the pain does not last more than 5 minutes. I am not sure about this one either- the laser is ment to %26quot;zap%26quot; the pigment out of the scars, removing discoloration. However, there may be alternate settings; I honestly don%26#039;t know. These are just a small example of treatments availiable. I would recommend going to a cosmetic dermatology clinic or a *good* plastic surgeon (with plastic surgeons, be sure to get at LEAST 3 consultations- trust me. You might end up like I did with a bigger scar than before!). Some of the treatments can be expensive and most need multiple times before the effects begin to show. But it is well worth it!!!
