What is the best way to get rid of scars?

They%26#039;re only very shallow. i%26#039;ve tried Bio-Oil but to no avail so far, should i keep using it or try something else? I%26#039;m not willing to break the bank, though..|||Scars if they are still under a year old can be helped to made less noticeable. Here are your options:

you can go online and order silicone sheeting for scar management, they also make an ointment form but the doctors i have worked with always liked the sheeting best. The site is www.biodermis.com.

You can also try Mederma as mentioned by another person below. You can purchase this at the pharmacy in the over the counter section.

You could try microdermabrasion treatments in combination with the mederma or silicone sheeting as microdermabrasion uses aluminum oxide crystals which go back and forth over the scar causing circulation and evening out the scar a bit better.

A last resort would be to have a plastic surgeon cut the scar out to make it smaller but since you said they were shallow, I think your best bet is going the biodermis or mederma route.

You can also try vitamin e oil and rub back and forth on the scar. Make sure you wear plenty of sunscreen spf 30 because scars just LOVE to hyperpigment( turn brown) from sun exposure.

With that, good luck!|||I USED COCO BUTTER,, BUT THERE IS MIDERMA NOT SURE OF THE SPELLING ,ON THE MARKET NOW I DON%26#039;T KNOW IF IT%26#039;S BETTER THAN COCO BUTTER THOUGH

THE COCO BUTTER GOT RID OF MY SURGERY SCARS AND MY STRETCH MARKS|||If scars are shallow, you can peel it away by over the counter retinoin.but you have to use sunblock for a time because when exposed to sunlight it will darken. By daytime use sunblock over the scar and at bedtime use topical hydrocortisone. Use sparingly or else you will have a depigmented scar area.
